Leading the Beat Community and Culture

Daylesford & District Pipes and Drums is a cherished community ensemble based in Daylesford, Victoria, Australia.

The band regularly performs at community celebrations and commemorations throughout the Hepburn Shire, including Scottish Gatherings and a variety of other events in the Central Highlands area.

They meet for rehearsals every Wednesday at the Masonic Hall, Daylesford and warmly welcome new members of all skill levels.

Local Events and Performances

The band has become a highlight at local events, including the Daylesford ANZAC Day march and performing at the annual Daylesford New Year’s Eve Parade and Gala.

Their performance often culminates in a communal rendition of “Auld Lang Syne,” featuring contributions from local established and emerging talents within the Band.

They are also a staple at the Daylesford Highland Gathering, an event celebrating Scottish heritage with pipe band competitions, street march parade, exhibition performances and contributing to the vibrant display of Scottish culture in our beautiful area of Hepburn Shire including Daylesford and Hepburn

With participants ranging from children as young as 10 to adults well into their senior years, the band fosters a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to learn, contribute, and grow.

Whether you're a seasoned musician or a complete beginner, the band offers a sense of belonging and connection through music, bringing together the wider community in a shared celebration of culture and community.
